57th Day (Trek)

I called it trek, but today was hardly all about walking .  Even though I fell asleep at 2am yesterday night , I woke up at 8:30am this morning which surprised me. Such a surprise that I had to go on TikTok and waste time until it felt right 😆 I didn’t eat this morning as we were having a brunch. My godfather and aunties family/friends flew in yesterday for a wedding and my godfather/godson birthdays this week . So we had brunch with them. I’ve already met these people, but I was more than ten years younger and I forgot everything about them. Even though I don’t remember who they are I felt comfortable in their presence.I ate last nights dinner, beans on toast, pain au chocolat and drank orange juice so I could be full. After brunch I accompanied my godfather and the friend to drop the Tesla car back to the shop. I forgot to bring my phone which I would greatly regret, but I brought the switch to play Gabby’s Mario.  When we arrived I realized there were basically no cars get...

56th Day (Chandler Died)

Chandler died today. Apparently he died in his jacuzzi. May his soul rest in peace , I enjoyed watching him in friends all those years with my family and he was one of the only ones that made me laugh so much . Im okay tbh, but I hope my brother is okay as I know he was a diehard fan. We didn’t really do anything in the morning as I know my godfather was tired and so was everybody else . However I had to move so I asked if I could bring Gabby to the basketball courts , my auntie also wanted to come . We took their bikes I took my godfathers as he stayed at home to catch up on work. We checked for a free basketball court. The first was closed , the second was being used by the football squads and the third venue was open (half court). I played around with my godson and he showed me his moves. I trained him for like 10/15 mins before we got asked by the kids on the other side for a match . I told them we could play so me and Gabby played a 2v2 against them . Gabby is 6 I’m 16 and the oth...

55th Day (Godafter & Godson)

Yeah you see I actually didn’t know when my godfather would be coming to collect me and with who he would come either . I had a feeling he would come at 12 so I woke up at 8 am , but I was able to spend time with my grandfather. The wait felt long and unfortunately patience isn’t one of my virtues. I felt as though he would appear in front of the house, but the time kept drowning and he still wasn’t here. I called, my credit wash shaky thankfully I was able to send him a message. I re-twisted the roots of my dreads and applied hair gel to nourish them. I ate lunch with my grandad and I wanted to spend as much time as I could with him . We conversed for a long time talking from a range of things, both social and philosophical. I enjoyed being able to talk well with him (it’s a moment I hope that I can remember for ever). He kindly showed me pictures from his past and I saw my parents younger, I also saw my grandad younger(in his 40s). Let’s just say my family is full of models  ...

54th Day (Green Mile)

Today is the last day I spent with my granddad before leaving with my godfather tomorrow. We went on a walk for around two hours and a half today , we completed the whole tour basically and walked all around his village , around the farms and all. We talked and I learnt a lot. The countryside is empty, but after thoroughly analyzing these last few days I have to came to my conclusion that it’s not empty , there’s just not many humans. It’s not empty as nature already does it’s jobs to fill it up and once you tune in you realize as well. We visited a village nearby where we just walked around and even visited the christian church which had a lot of history . Upon coming back to the house I got ready to watch THE GREEN MILE and watched the first hour in the afternoon and most of the end at night before going to bed. I’ll finish watching the movie completely tomorrow morning. I’m watching this movie because it’s a classic, but more importantly my friend said if I wanted to cry for a movie...

53rd Day (HOME 🔓)

O kay so today I barely went out of the house. I mean I did go out the house, but it was only to find service . I woke up at around 9:30 am ,but I then realized that I had nothing to wake up for so I stayed and procrastinated in my bed for an hour more. After a long wake up I decided to go downstairs and have breakfast. My grandad wasn’t there as he was cementing a few holes in the other part of the house , as I said he hasn’t finished building . Thinking about him working made me tired. After breakfast I exercised a bit doing push-ups, crunches and even squats because I can feel my body screaming for me to get moving . I then cleaned my hair and I’m planning on doing a likkle retwist tomorrow afternoon.  My grandad came back and we had lunch . We had a long discussion after the food about many things and I’m happy to be with my family for these reasons . People are like books and boy can I tell you that older people are full of enriching stories. I’m glad to have learnt even more ...

52nd Day (Chocolatine ?)

T oday was the walk day. I’m trying to write fewer lines in the blog, what helps is that here in my grandads house it’s very different from Lyon and more peaceful so my mind has more space to summarize better. The morning was nothing more than typical. My grandad kept showing or at least trying to show me how to juggle because I want to learn how to juggle with 3 balls by the end of my stay. When I woke up he told me that he’d washed them so thank youuuuu. After lunch we set out on our long walk, but not long after the Irish curse caught up to me and it’s started raining(drizzling). I’m honestly not sad about the curse to be completely honest. So we decided to go on a shorter walk which took us about an hour instead of three hours that we had planned to do . We saw his neighbors who are farmers and they told us we could go see their cows and cattle and that’s exactly what we done. I normally don’t like animals, but let’s just say that today it wasn’t too bad . After the walk we came ba...

51st Day (Tranquility)

Well to be honest this changes from my usual days, it’s much more peaceful . To give you an idea my grandad’s village has 4 residents! I woke up late and we then went to a neighboring village to get my grandpa’s medical results .   After that we went to the supermarket to go grocery shopping. I was glad to be receiving mobile service and it hadn’t even been 24 hours , I felt like those bratty kids in the movies if you know you know. So I called my mom, she told me I can’t go on the Spanish trip as I’ll be going to Lyon to see my newborn cousin in the same week . I just want to say that I don’t even know if I want to go after the prices they said. €670 for 3 days do they think my parents are made out of money? My grandad let me buy what I wanted to , so thanks 🙏🏽. Except my grandad is very health so everything I took I had to make sure it was healthy-ish. We then went back home for lunch and I ate sandwiches (5) and so that’s probably why I feel very very full . Started readi...

50th Day (Moving Day and RIP ❤️🕊️)

I  woke up early today or what I would consider early on a holiday. My godmother made me 8 mini crêpes which were delicious. Thank the lord I’m French. We played a board game with my cousin and granny except my cousin is short tempered and stormed off , it’s okay for the moment since he’s only 5 or 6. Other than that it was honestly a chill afternoon we didn’t go anywhere, but I put on some music and watched my little cousins play outside and make sure they didn’t cause any troubles. At around 4pm we left the house set on me and my grandma’s departure. My godmother took the wrong exit and got a bit lost. However in 2023 we have access to Google maps which is truly great and thanks to that we made it in time for the train station and my granny was able to make her train. My godmother had another issue today she told my grandad that I’d be ready to be picked up at 5:30, but  it was that time and we hadn’t left the town so there was a problem. She told him there was an hour delay...

49th Day ( Cousin into project Lebron ??)

Today is the only full day that day that I will end up spending with my godmother. I woke up late this morning at around 11:30am, but it was sooooo good to sleep that long. It’s been weeks that I’ve been waking up early and it feels nice to relax. You might think that I have the weekends to rest. However my uncle has a rule in place, where if you stay up after 10am there is no breakfast for you… (yay). We ate at lunchtime and celebrated my JC, Lina’s birthday and Armand’s birthday as well. Armand got a basketball. At around 4pm we went out. The first basketball court that we visited was occupied and we decided to go back to the one that we were a yesterday. Again people were using the basketball court to play football as it was one of those ones with a football cage in it. I wanted to play so I told them we were taking the half of the court to play basketball. I played with Armand, but after playing for roughly half an hour of playing and also playing a 2v2 . He got bored quickly and s...

48th day ( travels)

The day started early but not as earlier as I had planned. I had planned to wake up earlier, but I slept through my alarm, one of my most common problems. I done the finishing touches for my suitcase and room before leaving. I then said my goodbyes and left. I took the tram and surprising it was really easy. All I had to do was wait as the tram brought me directly to the train station . Upon my arrival at the train station I looked at the lane at which the train would arrive for me to embark and then I saw mamie (my granny). I also the Lyon football team, but I think it was the girls academy. In the train I was sat next to a nice lady. I also talked with Americans behind me and a Brazilian beside me that caused a bit of noise when asked for his identity card. The Lyon’s girl academy was actually sitting in my carriage. I tried to flirt with eyes just in case there is the next Mbappé, girl version  The train ride lasted a few hours. I drew , watched Netflix and also bought food on t...
